- 「PLANTS +」（プランツプラス）は、雑誌『PLANTED』（2006年の夏に創刊、2008年12月発売の#9まで、合計９号を毎日新聞社から発行）のコンセプトである「植物と暮らすオーガニックライフスタイル」をそのまま再現した、ウェブ上の動画専門チャンネルです。 植物に興味をもち、楽しむこと、そして植物と共存できるライフスタイルを考えるうえで発想したさまざまなトピックを取り扱いますが、今回雑誌ではなくウェブ上で、しかも動画コンテンツとして表現していくことで、よりわかりやすく、ライブ感のあるものとして、幅広い視聴者の方々に親しんで頂くことができるものと考えております。
Plants + TV is an online television broadcasting station devoted to Plants. The concept is quite simple: LIFE WITH PLANTS ON THIS PLANET. The various channels will seek to look at Plants from a widescreen approach such as how they relate to the food we eat, the places & world we live in, and the clothes we wear. Plants + hopes to inspire everybody to become plant lovers and thereby become planet lovers. We hope this channel inspires, nourishes and motivates you.

Ito Seiko - 1984年早稲田大学法学部卒業後、講談社に入社。86年に退社後は作家、クリエーターとして、活字／映像／舞台／音楽／ウェブなど、あらゆるジャンルに渡る幅広い表現活動を行っている。学生時代より舞台活動を始め、講談社に入社後は、「ホットドッグプレス」誌で企画した「業界くん物語」が話題となる。その後、『ノーライフキング』『解体屋外伝』などの小説や、講談社エッセイ賞を受賞した『ボタニカル・ライフ』などの著作を発表。音楽家としてもジャパニーズヒップホップの先駆者として活躍し、カルチャーシーン全般に影響を与えた。盟友・みうらじゅん氏とは共作「見仏記」シリーズで新たな仏像の鑑賞を発信し、大人気イベント「スライドショー」をプロデュースするなど、常に先の感覚を走り創作し続けるクリエーター。筒井康隆、別役実、ケラリーノ・サンドロヴィッチ各氏らとともにアチャラカ喜劇の復活を目的に劇団「空飛ぶ雲の上団五郎一座」を旗揚げするなど数々の話題をつくり上げている。編集長を務めてきた雑誌『PLANTED』のコンセプトをウェブで表現した本サイト「PLANTS+」では監修をつとめている。
Ito graduated from Waseda University in 1984. He soon took up an editing position at Kodanshya working on Hot Dog Press. Despite his success, after a few years he quit, and started to take up a wide range of creative activities ranging from, writing, music, film and acting. He went on to write such books as “No Life King” and “Botanical Life”. He also is known as being one of the front runners in bringing Hip-Hop music to Japan. He is good friends with illustrator Miura Jun and together they study and do talk shows about Butsuzo’s (Buddhist images). In 2006 He joined forces with Creative & Editorial Director Lucas and together they created the magazine PLANTED, which after three years ended and the two have joined up again to create PLANTS + an original broadcasting station devoted to plants.

Lucas Badtke-Berkow - トラベル・ライフスタイル誌『PAPER SKY』やキッズ誌『mammoth』を発行しながら、プロデュース／編集／制作プロダクションとしてアイデアに溢れたクリエイティブ活動を行う、（有）ニーハイメディア・ジャパンの代表取締役兼、総合プロデューサー。これまで『metro min.』（スターツ出版）や『TOKION』、『PLANTED』（毎日新聞社）など、多くの雑誌創刊に編集長として深く関わってきた雑誌づくりのプロ。時代を先取りするセンスと人脈は雑誌だけでなく、旅の書店「BOOK246」や子どものためのセレクトショップ「3 Feet High」のプロデュース、さらにはSHIPSとのコラボレーション・ブランド「ships mammoth」など、多方面のクリエイティブにも生かされている。また、2008年にはファミリー向け音楽＆キャンプ・フェスティバル「mammoth pow-wow」をプロデュース。2009年には植物をテーマにしたweb TV局「plants+ TV」を立ち上げ、クリエイティブ・ディレクションを手がけている。www.khmj.com
Lucas has been creating media in Japan for the world since the founding of his company Knee High Media in 1996. The companies first project was TOKION magazine which Lucas founded and edited until he sold the name in 2002. Lucas is presently the Editor in Chief of the travel magazine, “PAPER SKY” (www.paper-sky.com) and also publishes the kids magazine, “MAMMOTH” (www.mammothkids.com). In the past he served as Editor in Chief of “METRO MIN.” magazine and was the Creative & Editorial Director for “PLANTED” magazine. Besides publishing and editorial Lucas’ also produces a kids clothing brand SHIPS MAMMOTH, as well as a yearly camp & music festival for parents and kids called MAMMOTH POW-WOW.

ヴィセンテ・グテレスVideography
Vicente Gutierrez - 在日３年となるアメリカ人ライター＆映像プロデューサー。現在は日本のアヴァンギャルドなミュージシャンのドキュメンタリー映像の制作に従事。有限会社ニーハイメディア・ジャパンに加入後、「PLANTS +」の制作に携わる。原稿執筆と映像の撮影時以外は植物との生活を楽しむ。
Vicente recently joined the KHMJ team and has been helping out with getting Plants + up and running. Now 3 years in Tokyo, he is a writer and currently working on a short film and a documentary on a few avante-garde japanese musicians. When he isn’t writing or filming, he is enjoying life with plants on this planet!
