Wasara blends the simplicity of style with the functionality of design into beautiful paper plates and cups which we can all admire. Increasingly popular at catered events within Japan and internationally, the directors of Wasara took a little time at a nice traditional Japanese sweets cafe and shop in Azabu, Tokyo to discuss some more about the Wasara story and vision. カリフォルニア出身、ハワイ在住のアーティスト、ヘザー・ブラウン。美しいハワイの自然をモチーフにした作品は、日本でもサーフシーンを中心に注目されている。2009年6月には東京・青山に「ヘザー・ブラウン・ギャラリー」がオープン。オープンに合わせて来日していたヘザーに、インタビュー取材をしました。

Heather lives and paints on the North Shore of Hawaii. She moved to Hawaii to study art and has not left since. Her art work is friendly to both surfers and non-surfers alike. Her images are a complex pallet of Popping colors and twinkling light, that makes you want to jump into the canvas. Plants + asked her to talk about Hawaii’s plant life and it’s place in her life and paintings.
